The Deafness Research Foundation (DRF) funds innovative, cutting-edge research to increase options for those living with hearing and balance loss as well as protect those at risk. Your support helps DRF continue its vision to make a lifetime of hearing health possible for all people.
Why give? Through donations like yours, DRF has awarded nearly 1,900 grants, totaling over $23 million since its founding in 1958. Many of these grants have led to significant advances in hearing health and hearing impairment research, as well as further grants from major funding sources such as the NIH. Donations to DRF have helped fund innovative research that has contributed to the breakthroughs in the field of hearing and balance science. To learn more about the achievements, please click here. Matching Gifts
Many employers encourage employees to make charitable contributions by matching their support – some even match at the rate of 5 to 1. Employer matching gifts may also be available to you if you are the spouse of an employee, a retired employee or the spouse, widow or widower of a retiree. Taking advantage of this opportunity is a great way to increase the size of your gift.
Check with your company’s Human Resources Department for information on their specific matching program. Simply complete the matching gift form provided by your employer and mail it together with your contribution to DRF at the address below:

Gifts of Stock
Donating shares of a publicly traded company is an excellent means of providing a tax-deductible donation to Deafness Research Foundation. Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock by a direct transfer to DRF. Your gift of a publicly traded stock that has appreciated in value over time may provide you with a greater tax benefit than giving cash. Your charitable income tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock. You also avoid paying capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock. If you would like to make a gift of stock to the Deafness Research Foundation, please email us at info@drf.org or use this form.
